Helping Hands for our Children in the Chippewa Valley
Our Helping Hands program’s mission is to help meet the basic needs of our children in the Chippewa Valley.
We are able to provide basic care items for infants and children through donations. Currently we have over 3,000 members, eight drop sites, and weekly distributions. We provide meals at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We recently launched a regional “Operation Backpack” summer program. There are four winter gear distributions each year to ensure no child goes without.
We are always accepting NEW or GENTLY USED:
-blankets and bedding
-NEW/UNOPENED baby food and formula
Equipment such as: bouncers, bassinets, jumparoos, baby baths, cribs or toddler beds, car seats and toys
How the group works:
Put up a post on our Facebook group stating what you need for your child, and the group tries to directly meet those needs.
